Jim Leonhard: From Wisconsin to the Eagles Defensive Coordinator?
Ever since Wisconsin passed on giving Jim Leonhard the head coaching job at Wisconsin, we haven’t heard much from him. Based on the tweet from Fowler, we could see Leonhard in the NFL soon. I know a lot of Packer fans would love to see him replace Joe Barry as defensive coordinator as well.
At Wisconsin, Leonhard was the defensive coordinator from 2017-2022. After the firing of Paul Chryst, Leonhard was chosen as the interim head coach and posted a 5-3 record. Leonhard’s defenses were always one of the best in the country. They have produced a number of NFL players from Leonhard’s defense as well. Hearing this report, Leonhard might be heading east to take this Philadelphia defensive coordinator job.
