It has been almost two months since Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. After the draft, the Green Bay Packers essentially traded Davante Adams for wide receiver Christian Watson, and linebacker Quay Walker. Just yesterday Ian Rappaport appeared on the Pat McAfee Show with new details involving the trade:

“The Packers offered Davante Adams a bigger deal over the first two years than the Raiders did … he just didn’t wanna be there,” Rapoport said.
Until now we had assumed that Green Bay offered Davante Adams a mega contract. Now we have confirmation that not only did Green Bay offer Davante Adams that mega contract, they offered him more than what the Raiders did. Bryan Gutekunst, Matt LaFleur, and likely Aaron Rodgers did all they could to keep #17 in Green Bay. These type of reports are never easy to hear as fans, and while Davante Adams has said family played a factor, it is still going to be sour seen him in a different jersey this year… Especially after all Green Bay did to try to keep him.

This is just disingenuous..
It had nothing to do with the Packers franchise and everything to do with the fact that Tae has wanted to play for the Raiders his whole life, and wanted to play with his college QB Carr.
No true fan should be sad to see him go. He gave us his best years and wants to play his sunset years on his terms. Good for him, I say.
Thank for the article.
Good day
