Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Zach Tom does not seem to be on the same page with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell over at least one subject.

On Monday, Dianna Russini of ESPN shared a post about a claim made by Goodell about players’ positive reception to playing games overseas.

“Goodell said he spoke to many players and discovered how much they enjoy playing international games because they feel like ambassadors,” Russini’s post on X, formerly Twitter, read.

Tom saw that post and shared it with a laughing emoji.

Tom did not say anything, but it’s not a reach to conclude that he did not agree with Goodell’s sentiment.

The 26-year-old Tom’s reaction also gave way for fans online to dunk on Goodell.

“Sounds like Roger didn’t talk to Zach Tom.,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “the idea he speaks in the first place to ‘many’ players about anything is ludicrous. It’s not like he hangs out at practice🤡”

From a commenter: “The stories executives make up to fit their narrative”

“It’s so easy to just lie when you’re rich and powerful lol,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “Cook him, Zach. No reason you guys should be subjected to playing in third-world cesspits like Brazil just to increase the bottom line.”

Said another: “Dude he didn’t ask a single player. Guaranteed.”

Tom and the Packers did not play a game abroad in the 2025 NFL season, but the last time they did, they suffered a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season in Brazil.
