The Green Bay Packers drafted defensive tackle Warren Brinson out of Georgia with the 198th pick in the 2025 draft. The Bulldog alum gave them a decent return on investment for a six-round selection, logging 24% of all defensive snaps as a rookie. At least in the box score, there wasn’t much for fans to sink their teeth into on a week-to-week basis, and Brinson did not earn a favorable PFF grade, but he flashed promise via the eye test.
One stat that backs up a positive appraisal of the rookie is his pass rush win rate – best in the league among first-year DTs who saw significant snaps. Mark Oldacres of Packers Wire shared his surprising observation on the Packers’ late-round swing:
A stat which surprised me…
Warren Brinson led all rookie defensive tackles in pass rush win rate (12.3%).
Still 2nd behind Walter Nolen if you remove the playtime qualifier.

Rookie year a quiet success for Brinson as Day 3 Draftee
You wouldn’t guess it based on Brinson’s PFF score, which at 42.8 ranked 122nd/134 at the position. Nolen on the other hand, Arizona’s first-round pick at No. 16 out of Ole Miss, scored 74.1 but played over 100 fewer snaps (169 to Brinson’s 273).
Brinson did not debut until Week 6 against the Bengals but took on an important role on the defensive line after Devonte Wyatt went down in Week 13. Brinson had the misfortune to roll over on Wyatt’s ankle during that win in Detroit, ending his fellow Georgia alum’s season.

Brinson’s flashes as a pass rusher don’t show up in his traditional stats. He finished the year with half a sack, 11 PFF pressures, and 13 total tackles. But as an underlying metric, win rate is a critical indicator of how well pass rushers actually performed in breaking through the offensive line to put pressure on the quarterback.
Doing so at the best clip among rookie interior linemen gives Brinson something to build on as a sophomore in 2026.
