Packers vs. Bears Highlights Colin Cowherd’s Week 1 Big Games

The Packers are known for playing in big games, whether it is early in the season, late in the season, or even in the postseason. Week 1 will be a big game for the Green Bay Packers on the road against the Chicago Bears, according to Colin Cowherd of FS1.

Packers vs. Bears Highlights Colin Cowherd’s Week 1 Big Games

He thinks there is no pressure on the Packers in this matchup because of Jordan Love being the quarterback and all. Colin Cowherd said, “The pressure is on Justin Fields…There’s this silly, nonsensical MVP talk.”

Colin Cowherd is a big believer that Green Bay don’t have the weapons that the Bears do.

However, Green Bay has the edge at running back over Chicago. Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon are better than Khalil Herbert and D’Onta Foreman. At wide receiver, the Bears have the edge with D.J. Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Chase Claypool. The Packers have Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and rookie Jayden Reed. At the tight end position, Chicago is much better at that department than Green Bay does, with Cole Kmet over rookie Luke Musgrave.

Will Jordan Love look good in his first start of the season, or will the Justin Fields MVP hype train begin? Those answers to those questions will have to wait until then, but there are two other games that Colin Cowherd believes will be huge heading into Week 1: Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants.

Packers Have Owned the Bears Recently

Green Bay has won the last eight meetings against the Chicago Bears. The last time the Packers lost to the Bears was back in 2018, when Chicago won that game over Green Bay 24-17. The Bears won the NFC North Division that season.

It feels as if the Bears are due to beat Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers no longer here to own them. Still, the Packers feel as if they still have the mental edge over the Bears.
