The Green Bay Packers have been linked to numerous names as possible trade targets. Unsurprisingly, the lack of wide receiver depth has generated the most attention in Green Bay. Lately it seems like Houston Texans star WR Brandin Cooks has been coming up more and more in trade rumors. Adam Schefter of ESPN has even reported that the Texans are willingly open to trade Cooks. Other teams such as the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams are all considered to be ‘in the mix’ for Cooks. It’s also believed that Cooks could stay put in Houston. But what did Cooks say the made fans question his future?
According to Aaron Wilson, a Houston Texans reporter, Brandin Cooks said “We’re going to keep that internal” when asked about the trade rumors. “All due respect, I’m not going to talk about that right now” he went on to say. If Cooks was staying put in Houston I would image he’d have a different response. Possibly denying the rumors or being more open about it. Packers fans are now growing more hopeful at the possibility of Cooks coming to Green Bay.

Will the Packers trade for Cooks?
Green Bay desperately needs to trade for a wide receiver. The question is how much are they willing to give up to get one? It has been reported that the Texans are seeking at least a second-round draft pick in exchange for Cooks. Realistically, I don’t see the Packers giving up such a high pick. I could see Cooks being worth a fourth-round pick, maybe a third-round, but even that seems like a stretch. However, with the Packers sitting at 3-5 would pursing Cooks be worth it at this point? There is only one more day until the trade deadline on November 1. It will be interesting to see if the Packers make a move before then.
