Packers Super Bowl Odds Jump after Christmas
The Green Bay Packers Super Bowl odds took a hit earlier in the season. The Packers were a betting favorite in August. However, the team’s early struggles with injury and losing record made them a long shot to even make the playoffs. But the December rally has them basically controlling their own destiny with two weeks to go in the regular season. A perfect weekend with four games going the Packers’ way, and the Miami win, has many in Green Bay thinking about a postseason.
An NFC Wild Card spot looked nearly impossible after narrowly losing to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thanksgiving weekend. Now the Packers have the best odds, according to Fan Duel, to heist the last Wild Card spot before their New Year’s Day matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers are favored to win that matchup next Sunday.
Super Bowl outlook for the Packers in Week 17
The Packers had pretty high Super Bowl odds before the season. According to Sports Betting Dime, those odds didn’t see much of a bump in the early season as the Packers struggled in September and October. However, by the 29th of November, the line on a Green Bay Super Bowl was +29000.
The Packers’ odds skyrocketed after coming back to beat the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day. The line is just +6000 before their Week 17 game against the Vikings. They’re now the 13th favorite to win it all in February. That’s not anywhere close to what their odds were in August, but Packers fans will take those chances now versus being in the Los Angeles Rams position before the Holiday season.
