Packers Stock Sale: When does it end?

On November 16th, 2021 the Green Bay Packers commenced their 6th ever Stock Sale.  As expected, it has taken off and raised millions for future renovations at Lambeau Field and the surrounding area. So far the Packers announced they have sold more than 191,000 shares raising more than 63 million dollars.

    • $63,641,070 dollars raised
    • 32,000 shares sold in the state of Wisconsin

    • Shares were purchased by owners in all 50 states
    • Several American territories had buyers as well, including Puerto Rico 53, Guam 11 and the U.S. Virgin Islands, 4.

    When does the sale end?

Your last chance to buy Packers Stock will be on February 25th, 2022.  With 108,119 shares remaining as of January 31st, 2022 you still have plenty of time to become apart of history.  Each stock is $300.00 and includes a $35.00 handing fee. Below is the link:

    What does the stock mean?

While other franchises routinely seek and receive taxpayer dollars from the surrounding counties, and sometimes state wide, the Green Bay Packers are only taking from those who want to contribute. I am sure the fans of the Raiders would have liked some say before they left Oakland. The same can be said about the Rams leaving St. Louis back in 2015.  The tax payers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area may have liked more of a say in whether or they wanted to fund a 1.1 billion dollar stadium.

The fact of the matter is that the option to buy Packers stock should be the envy of every single other NFL fan. It keeps the team local, it reduces the tax burden inherent in having a major sports franchise present, and it brings transparency to a business that prefers to be steeped in secrecy.
