The Green Bay Packers opened the day by releasing young wide receiver Malik Taylor. About an hour ago, ESPN’s Field Yates announced on Twitter that the Packers had signed wide receiver Travis Fulgham. He had been placed on waivers by the Denver Broncos.

This will be Fulgham’s second go-around with the Packers. He was with the team for just nine days during training camp in 2020.
Travis Fulgham Has Had One Good Season in the NFL
Before joining the Packers in 2020, Fulgham was a sixth round pick (#184 overall) by the Detroit Lions in 2019. He appeared in three games for the Lions that season, but did not record a catch on three targets. He was released on August 9, 2020.
Fulgham signed with the Green Bay Packers the very next day. As mentioned previously, he only spent nine days with the Packers before being released again. Less than one week later, Fulgham was claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he spent the rest of training camp. Despite being cut by them on September 3, he was re-signed to the practice squad.
On October 3 of that season, Travis Fulgham was promoted to the active roster. In his first game, the Eagles played the San Francisco 49ers and Fulgham recorded his first NFL catch and touchdown. He went onto have 38 catches for 539 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games played. Fulgham started eight of those games.
Despite leading the Eagles in receiving yards in 2020, Fulgham was released after the season and spent 2021 on the practice squads of the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos. The Broncos made him active for their Week 17 game last year, but Fulgham did not record a catch on one target.
Travis Fulgham signed a future’s deal with the Broncos earlier this year, but was cut by the team yesterday. Again, it did not take him long to find work.
