The Green Bay Packers drafted 11 players in the 2022 NFL Draft. As the weeks have gone by since the draft, the Packers have signed their picks a little at a time. Earlier on Thursday, the Packers agreed to contracts with two more of their picks: Romeo Doubs and Zach Tom. Both Doubs and and Tom were fourth round picks.

Now the only draft pick the Packers need to sign is Christian Watson. Watson, a second round pick, is perhaps their most intriguing pick given the fact that Davante Adams is no longer on the team. According to one NFL scout, though, Watson is going to be the next great Packers wide receiver.
Should Packers Fans Be Worried that Christian Watson Isn’t Signed?
In short, no. The salaries of all draft picks are, for the most part, predetermined by the CBA. The fact that Watson has not been signed yet is no indictment on the Packers nor on Watson. It simply just has not happened yet. It will.
According to Heavy.com, the salary range for second round picks in the NFL ranges from about $953,000 to $1.5 million per season. The top second round pick usually is given a contract in the range of four years and $8.68 million. Watson was the second pick in the second round, so there may be some negotiating going on in terms of salary figures. However, it is not anything that is going to cause any form of drama. Watson has already been a participant in rookie mini camp and OTA’s. Additionally, he and Doubs were featured in the NFL’s Rookie Premiere wearing their new Packers jerseys.
