Packers sign a former All-Big Ten tight end
The Green Bay Packers added the services of a former All-Big Ten tight end this week. The Packers were busy making a few roster moves this week before their game against the Detroit Lions Sunday night. They must win the game to reach the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Packers appeared to want depth at a pass-patching position in Week 18.
According to the NFL’s transaction wire, the Packers signed Austin Allen to the practice squad. Allen was an undrafted rookie free agent this season, initially signed by the New York Giants. He was released from their practice squad in October. Allen had a workout with the Packers in November. He must have shown a good routine in the workout, as the Packers signed him in the last week of the regular season.
Allen played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten team in 2021. He won the Kwalick–Clark Tight End of the Year award in 2021. Allen has no regular season stats in the NFL. Allen finished his college career with three touchdown receptions and 975 yards receiving.

I saw an amazing difference when Gb didn’t let the play clock run down to a second. And the no huddle really through off the d#. I think if they continue this stradegy the offense will take advantage, for both the running & passing game.
