The Packers need all the help they can get at receiver, but maybe a TE with receiver skills could be even better.
The rumors continue to fly for the Packers as the Nov. 1 NFL trade deadline approaches, with many focusing on possible additions to their receiving corps. While it’s clear that weapons for QB Aaron Rodgers are the top priority, WR may not be the best place to look. A player in the AFC East who could use a new place to call home would make sense.
Packers should look into Mike Gesecki

With the Panthers looking likely to keep DJ Moore, the other receivers on the block are far from guaranteed difference-makers. One player who could use a change of scenery though is Dolphins TE Mike Gesecki. Current starting TE Robert Tonyan is coming off his best game of the season, catching 10 passes for 90 yards. He is still averaging just 8.1 yards per reception on the season, however.
Adding Gesecki would give Rodgers someone who can rip defenses up the seam and reliably win contested catch situations. Tonyan can continue to be an underneath threat to create a two-headed monster at TE for the Packers. Gesecki has always been essentially a big WR anyway. That’s why he hasn’t been a focal point of the Dolphins new offense. With the addition of Tyreek Hill and the growth of second-year receiver Jaylen Waddle, there just aren’t a lot of targets to go around. The Packers could give him the bigger role he deserves.
In conclusion
Gesecki badly needs a new team who has a need for his skill set, and the Packers would be a good fit. He had 112 targets last season, yet this year he is barely on pace for 50. Playing with Rodgers could unlock even more of his talent as well. Rodgers’s ability to place the ball anywhere he wants would be perfect for what Gesecki does well. His contract situation could make a trade a bit difficult, however. He is on the franchise tag at over 10 million currently.
The Packers could move some money around if need be, and I believe it would be worth it. The fact his deal is expiring may also make him less expensive to obtain. A mid-round pick and maybe a player like Josiah Deguara who is a better fit for what Miami wants. Overall, I think he would quickly become a favorite of Rodgers and help get the offense moving again. The offensive line and defensive schemes will still be an issue, but that is much harder to improve with trades.

Um No. Mike made this clear just a few days ago that he is happy in Miami why you trying to take my TE. And for what you can’t even give us equal trade in skill on a OL player or Defensive player to replace Jones (out with ACL). No I agree with Mike here stay in Miami stay more healthy with less reps and make more money or go-to Packers where you get used and abused and paid less than 10 mil…..
