Packers Rookie On Track To Start In Sunday’s Game

The Packers have dealt with a lot of injuries this season. They can never seem to have their players on the field all at the same time. That may change this week as a key piece of the offense could be back after missing some time. Packers rookie Romeo Doubs is on track to start this Sunday.

Romeo Doubs On Track To Play Sunday

Doubs was at practice again today. This marks the second day in a row that he was in pads and playing. This is a great sign for him to play on Sunday. Coaches usually like for players to get a couple of practices under their belt before putting them in a game. Doubs was already showing progress last week so it is not necessarily a surprise to see him on track for Sunday. While the Packers’ offense has looked better over the past couple of weeks, getting Doubs back is still a welcome sight.

Packers Get A Peek At The Future

One reason why getting Doubs back is so huge for the Packers is they want to get a glimpse of the future. With the meteoric rise of Christian Watson, the Packers want to get a look at both rookies on the field at the same time. There is a very good chance that this is the Packers’ receiving corp of the future. Both players have shown promise in their development meaning this could be the Packers’ WR room for a while.

I have to admit that I am excited to see both Doubs and Watson on the field at the same time. Playing against a weaker Bears’ defense means that both receivers have a chance to have big games. Regardless, it will be good for Doubs to get more game reps in the back part of the season.
