The Green Bay Packers are not the only team that has questions regarding their future with a MVP quarterback. While Aaron Rodgers is still under contract with the Packers, Lamar Jackson is not under contract for 2023 with the Baltimore Ravens. The 2019 MVP and the Ravens never came to an agreement on an extension and now Jackson enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. With plenty of teams in need of a quarterback, former Packers fan-favorite Kurt Benkert identified which team he believes would benefit the most from signing Jackson.
Former Packers Quarterback Kurt Benkert Believes Lamar Jackson Should Sign with the Atlanta Falcons
Prior to coming to Green Bay, Benkert spent some time with the Atlanta Falcons. He has seen their organization and team makeup in a way most have not. For this reason, he believes that the Falcons could step back into contention in the NFC with Jackson under center.
Lamar Jackson to the Falcons would have ATL all the way back

This past season, the Atlanta Falcons finished 7-10 in a woeful NFC South Division that say the Tampa Bay Buccaneers go to the playoffs with an 8-9 record. The Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Carolina Panthers all finished with identical 7-10 records.

Having Lamar Jackson Would Give the Falcons the Edge in Their Division
Say what you will about the Packers’ quarterback situation, but at least they are confident in whichever quarterback ends up being the starter in 2023. The Falcons’ quarterback situation is a mess. Adding a MVP candidate like Lamar Jackson will certainly put that offense over the top.

Not only that, it would also give the Falcons the best and most stable quarterback situation in the NFC South. Tom Brady may not return to the NFL in 2023, let alone Tampa Bay. The Saints trotted out Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston, and Taysom Hill at quarterback in 2022. After releasing Baker Mayfield, the Panthers sent out Sam Darnold, PJ Walker, and Jacob Eason.
Clearly, all four teams will be in the market for a new quarterback in 2023. Truth be told, any one of them could make a play for Lamar Jackson. Suddenly the Packers quarterback situation doesn’t seem so bad.
