The Green Bay Packers haven’t been afraid of moving on from veterans when they feel their time is up. There are numerous examples of Green Bay letting a veteran go a little too early and they’ve had success elsewhere. That being said, one quarterback who briefly spent time in Green Bay could see his coaching career take off.

According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has been offered a “substantial deal” to become head coach of the New York Jets. The position is “his if he wants it,” though no agreement has yet been reached.
If it is reached, he already knows one name he wants to bring with him:
Schultz added that Glenn is “currently constructing his potential staff, which would ideally include Lions quarterbacks coach Mark Brunell—if he doesn’t get the offensive coordinator job in Detroit—who could be in play as the offensive coordinator for Glenn.
I’m also told Glenn wants to bring in a veteran defensive coordinator who has been a former NFL head coach. Glenn, sources say, is still putting his offensive staff together.”
