The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions play in their regular season finale once again. This particular game is noteworthy for both teams. If the Packers win, they clinch the seventh seed in the NFC and will go to the Playoffs. If the Seahawks lose to the Rams, the Lions also could clinch the seventh seed with a victory.
Regardless of the outcome, there are several Packers players who may be playing their last game at home for the Green Bay Packers. As the seventh seed, they would play all of their playoff games on the road. And if they lose, well, that is the end anyway. Whether it be retirement, free agency, or being waived for cap purposes, these players may be playing their last [home] game at Lambeau Field.
1. Aaron Jones
There is no denying how much Aaron Jones has accomplished this year. He reached third on the team’s all-time rushing list and is one of just four running backs in team history to have three 1,000-yard seasons. However, his cap hit jumps to over $20 million next season while his dead cap hit is around $9 million. If the Packers and Jones cannot come to some kind of extension or restructure, this Lions matchup will be his last home game as a Packers player.

2. Adrian Amos
There is no doubt that “Smash” has had a down season this year. However, his defense in 2019-2021 (especially when he notched interceptions against the Bears, his former team) endeared him to Packers fans. Unfortunately, Adrian Amos is having a down year at a position that is a glaring weakness on the Green Bay defense. He is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and may not be re-signed.
3. Allen Lazard
There is not a better blocking wide receiver in the NFL than Allen Lazard. A few weeks ago, in the win over the Rams, Lazard was given the offensive game ball by the coaches despite having just one catch (for seven yards). He got the game ball, though, because of all the intangible things he does on the team. Fans may recall how he blocked three Miami Dolphins players to the ground on Christmas Day (and then was fined for taunting).
As far as receiving statistics go, Lazard is having his best season. He has career highs and receptions (56) and receiving yards (747) while adding five touchdown catches. Like, Amos, he will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. It is entirely possible that another wide receiver hungry team snatches him up, which would be a shame.
4. Mason Crosby
The franchise’s all-time leading scorer proved he still has what it takes to hit big field goals. However, at age 38, one has to wonder how much longer he wants to keep going. Mason Crosby has accomplished, literally, everything there is to accomplish as the Green Bay Packers kicker. While he has not addressed it, one way or another, Crosby could retire at the end of the season. His one-year contract is also up at the end of the year, making him a free agent.
5. Aaron Rodgers
To be clear, Aaron Rodgers has not made a decision on his future. He stated earlier this week that his focus is on the game ahead. However, he is also “soaking it all in,” knowing that his future may not be in Green Bay. A four-time MVP, a Super Bowl winner, and perhaps the most talented quarterback to ever play in the NFL, there is no doubt that Rodgers will go into the Hall of Fame.
