Christian Watson seems to be ready for the 2025 season based on the clips released where he is shown doing drills in Green Bay Packers practices. Even head coach Matt LaFleur thinks he’s in a good spot.
This led to fans feeling excited about his return from an ACL injury in January during their Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears.

He then posted a cryptic post on his Instagram story that made fans even more curious. The story is a picture of him with three emojis of “sshhh” at the bottom.
The veteran wide receiver teased early May that he was already feeling good about his recover and that he might be ahead of his schedule with his rehab.
“The recovery is going really well. I’m in a really good spot,” he said.
“Keeping the mentality there, just working. I’ve got a couple more months ahead of me, but I’m attacking it every day, I’m in a really good spot.”

But how close is he if team officials are to be asked?
Matt LaFleur does not bet on early Christian Watson return
LaFleur was among those who broke the great news about Watson last month.
However, he is not too optimistic that the 26-year-old wide receiver will return earlier than expected. He acknowledged that the player is recovering fast but he is more focused on the WRs he has right now.
“Probably not, to be honest,” LaFleur told reporters when asked about a possible early return by Watson.
“The guys that are available, that’s who you coach and that’s kind of where you focus.

“It is exciting to see how far along he is, he’s been doing a great job, he attacks it the right way. Our trainers have done an outstanding job with him. I think he’s in the best spot possible considering the circumstance.”
Right now, the WRs at LaFleur’s disposal are already vying for the main positions. Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs lead the way, followed by rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, and summer signing Sam Brown Jr.
