Without a doubt, the loss of Micah Parsons to a season-ending torn ACL injury is a punch to the gut of the Green Bay Packers. As the best pass rusher on the team, Parsons’ absence will be felt by Green Bay, which has three more games left to play in the 2025 NFL regular season.
Parsons suffered the injury in last Sunday’s 34-26 loss on the road to Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. He was trying to go after Nix in the pocket when he sustained the non-contact injury that immediately did not look good. On Monday, Green Bay’s worst fear was confirmed, as he’ll now be sidelined for a long period to recover and rehab from his injury.
NFL reacts to injured Packers star’s IG post
Also on Monday, Parsons took to social media to break his silence on this unfortunate development.
Via Parsons’ Instagram account:
“I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.”
Fans and several football personalities reacted to Parsons’ IG post, including none other than the NFL, which left a “folded hand” emoji, which often signifies a prayer.

It will be a tough challenge for Green Bay to fill the void that Parsons has left on defense. With the NFL playoffs just around the corner, the Packers are facing the task of getting the defense ready — without Parsons — for important games down the stretch of the regular season and in the playoffs, which they are still currently expected to make.
