Micah Parsons didn’t mince words on what the Packers‘ win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving meant to his team, for this season, and Green Bay’s goals still in front of it.
“This was a big win for where we want to go,” Parsons told reporters afterwards at Ford Field. “Win the division, playoffs. That was a playoff game. We just have to stack these up.”
Micah Parsons powers Packers past Lions

Parsons was a game-wrecking machine against the Lions, posting 2.5 sacks and eight total tackles, as a driving force behind Green Bay’s 31-24 victory over their bitter NFC North rivals.
Following the Packers’ win, and before the Chicago Bears take on the defending Super Bowl champions on Friday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field, Green Bay sits a half-game back of the NFC North lead, at 8-3-1.
With the league’s most difficult remaining strength of schedule still to come, each week is effectively a playoff game for the Packers, but if Parsons continues to contribute timely sacks in the biggest moments of games and Jordan Love and the offense continue lighting up the scoreboard, Green Bay is going to be able to throw its weight around and match up against anyone on the NFC side of things.
