As Week 18 approaches, there are many players approaching contract incentives and statistical bonuses. The Lions will travel to Lambeau Field with plenty on the line. The teams will possibly be fighting for a playoff berth on Sunday night during the final game of the 2022-2023 NFL regular season. A Packers win ensure they are in while the Lions need a Seahawks loss on Sunday afternoon for a chance to advance to the NFC Wild Card round. With that being said, there are some players looking to bank some extra money by reaching specific incentives. Let’s take a look at some of those contract incentives that may come into play Sunday night.
Jamaal Williams Contract Incentives
The former Green Bay running back has been one of the biggest surprises this season. Williams leads the league in rushing TD’s with 15 after scoring just 13 in his first five seasons in the league. However, his contract incentive within reach in Week 18 is related to his rushing yards. Williams currently sits at 994 yards this season and needs to eclipse 1,000 to secure an extra $250,000. It’s hard to imagine Williams will not reach six rushing yards against the Packers below average run defense.
Kalif Raymond Contract Incentives
The Lions wide receiver has a few contract incentives within his reach heading into the divisional showdown on Sunday. Raymond has incentives tied to both his receiving and punt return stats. The journeyman receiver currently has 43 catches for 550 yards on the year. If Raymond is able to amass seven catches and/or 50 yards, he will earn $250,000 for each. The Lions’ punt returner will also be able to add some extra cash via his punt return yardage. According to SI.com’s Albert Breer, Raymond will earn $150,000 if he can accumulate 36 punt return yards to reach 300 on the year. The former Holy Cross standout has seen his snap share decrease sharply over the past five week, but he has cleared 50 yards in two of the last three games. Expect Jared Goff to look Raymond’s way a bit more than usual, especially if the Lions are eliminated before kickoff.
