Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was on The Pat McAfee Show yesterday. In his weekly segment, he was asked several questions about his future and the future of the Packers. Among other things, Rodgers stated that he will not be a part of any kind of rebuild. Furthermore, he named five players that he would like to see back if he decides to return to the Packers in 2023: Marcedes Lewis, Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, David Bakhtiari, and Robert Tonyan.
Packers legend Gilbert Brown made a surprise appearance on Wisconsin Sports Heroics’ podcast, CheeseDads Sports. During the podcast, he addressed Rodgers’ comments and gave his thoughts on a player making such demands.

Gilbert Brown Laughed at the Notion of Brett Favre Attempting That Ploy
Gilbert Brown was asked if Brett Favre had ever tried to pull that stunt, saying he would only come back if the Packers brought back another player that he liked playing with. Brown’s first response was to laugh. Then he said the following:
“You know, with Brett, man, it was like ‘Is he even coming back.’ I don’t think I ever heard him say ‘Somebody’s determining if I am coming back or not.’ I don’t think I ever heard say it. It was always ‘Me.’
“I mean, he didn’t do that for Frankie Winters when he left. He didn’t do that for Mark Chmura when he left. Those were his buddies, you know?”
