An All-Pro wide receiver could be in Green Bay in 2023
The Green Bay Packers offense could use the services of an All-Pro next season. It’s expected the Packers will need to move on from a few starting pieces from the offense. The Packers will have limited cap space to work with this offseason. A sportsbook thinks the Packers have the best odds to land a highly wanted wide receiver this offseason.
The Arizona Cardinals are in rebuild mode. The Cardinals fired their head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, last week. 30-year-old wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins won’t want to be a part of a rebuild. And he’s been rumored to a few NFL teams via a trade in the offseason.
DraftKings odds
DraftKings Sportsbook came out with odds for where Hopkins will play next season. According to the sportsbook, on Friday, the Packers had +330 odds to land Hopkins. Their next highest competitors were the New England Patriots (+450) and the Kansas City Chiefs (+500).
If Vegas thinks the Packers have a chance, then maybe this idea isn’t that far-fetched. The Packers will still have razor-thin cap space to deal with. However, the Cardinals will likely have to eat much of Hopkins’ cap space in any trade they make this offseason. That would make the perfect scenario for the Packers to be buyers. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers would have to be happy with landing a three-time All-Pro veteran wide receiver.
