The Green Bay Packers have nothing to look forward to for the rest of the 2025 NFL season. The offseason started for Green Bay when they suffered a 31-27 collapse in the NFC Wild Card Round against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Green Bay fans were already making their plans for the next round of the playoffs after Jordan Love and company headed into the fourth quarter with a double-digit lead, but the Packers just could not take care of their big lead, as Chicago successfully pulled off a wild come-from-behind victory.
To make sense of Green Bay’s unbelievable loss, many have pinned the blame on different personalities.
Among those who have caught a lot of heat is defensive back Keisan Nixon, especially for what many called a “business decision” in the fourth quarter.
Nixon had a chance to at least show resistance against Bears running back D’Andre Swift near the end zone, but he seemingly jumped out of the way instead of meeting Swift. While Swift likely would have still scored a touchdown even if Nixon stepped in front of him, it was the decision and effort that fans were questioning Nixon about the most.
Nixon’s play in Packers-Bears revisited in new video
On Friday, another video of the play has hit the internet, offering a look from a different angle.
Good lord that play from Nixon at the goal line looks even worse from the all-22. He made no effort to rally to the football and the did an ¡olé! in the end zone. Yikes. pic.twitter.com/2XxZEp3G8B

It wasn’t the only time in the game that Nixon’s effort was called out by fans, as he also gave up a crucial catch late to Chicago wide receiver Rome Odunze.
Nixon perhaps wishes he could have those moments back, but the reality is that Green Bay paid the price for the Packers defense’s ineffectiveness, especially in the fourth quarter, where they allowed the Bears to drop a 25-point salvo.
