The Green Bay Packers are back on top of the NFC North standings, thanks in large part to the clutch heroics of defensive back Keisean Nixon near the end of regulation of Sunday’s huge game at Lambeau Field against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
With the Packers holding on to a seven-point lead and the Bears in scoring position on a fourth-and-1, Williams rolled out of the pocket and though he found tight end Cole Kmet open in the end zone.
However, Nixon entered the picture and picked off Williams to seal the win for the Packers, who improved to 9-3-1 and became the No. 1 team again in the NFC North.

Nixon’s interception had indeed prevented a complete meltdown for Green Bay, which saw its 10-point lead evaporate.

After going up 21-11 on a touchdown by wide receiver Christian Watson in the third quarter, the Packers surrendered the next 10 points in the contest to Chicago, which tied the score at 21-21 following a touchdown by tight end Colston Loveland with eight minutes remaining in the fourth period. Green Bay later broke the deadlock and took the lead after capping an eight-play drive with a two-yard rushing touchdown by star running back Josh Jacobs.
Nixon’s interception was the cornerback’s first in the 2025 NFL season, and what a time for him to get it. It is something that will be talked about for a long time in Green Bay, especially given how high the stakes were in the contest. In addition to his interception, Nixon also had two total tackles and two passes defended to go with a quarterback hit to help Green Bay record its fourth win in a row.
