The Green Bay Packers thwarted the Chicago Bears last Sunday to the tune of a 28-21 score, and that win may not have been possible without the heroic defensive play by cornerback Keisean Nixon, who swooped in for a game-saving interception off a pass from quarterback Caleb Williams.
Nixon must be happy to finally get his first interception in the 2025 NFL season, especially given the circumstances. His pick helped ensure that Green Bay would be atop the NFC North standings again.

And aside from Green Bay and its fans, another person who’s happy for Nixon was his former head coach during his time with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, Jon Gruden.
“Ex-Raider Nixon’s first interception of the year… perfect timing!!” Gruden shared in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Nixon had been facing some criticisms for his underwhelming play as a defensive back for the Packers in the weeks before the Bears game, but he surely silenced them with that memorable defensive play that will be remembered for a long time by Green Bay fans.
Before signing with Green Bay in 2022, Nixon played his first three seasons in the NFL with the Raiders.
Now, Nixon has a chance to have his first multi-interception season. He can get there as soon as this coming Sunday in a Week 15 showdown against the Denver Broncos on the road.
