Josh Jacobs is in his second year with the Green Bay Packers, so he’s no longer a stranger to facing the Chicago Bears and experiencing firsthand the intense rivalry between the two NFC North franchises.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide star is about to be in another such contest this Sunday, as the Packers host Chicago at Lambeau Field in a crucial Week 14 matchup.
Jacobs can expect perhaps the hardest-fought Packers-Bears game since he decided to take his talents to Green Bay, given the stakes.
Chicago is currently atop the NFC North standings with a 9-3 record, while Green Bay is right behind the Bears with an 8-3-1 slate. A win by Green Bay would make it the top team in the NFC North through 14 weeks in the 2025 NFL regular season.
Jacobs knows Packers-Bears rivalry is a fierce one

No matter the stakes, what’s clear for Jacobs is that Green Bay and Chicago don’t like each other.
“At the end of the day,” Jacobs said (h/t Mike Spofford of Green Bay’s official website), “still don’t like them, they don’t like us, and it’s going to be fun.”
Chicago scored a big win in Week 13, when it took down the Philadelphia Eagles, 24-15, in Philly for the Bears’ fifth win in a row. As for Jacobs and the Packers, they are on a three-game roll, having defeated the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13, 31-24.
Jacobs can be fairly expected to have a big day against Chicago, considering the Bears’ leaky defense on the ground. The Bears are just 28th in the NFL with an average of 133.8 rushing yards allowed per contest. On the season, Jacobs has rushed for 731 yards and 11 touchdowns on 186 carries.
