Behind the strong play under center by quarterback Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers’ offense has become one of the best in the 2025 NFL season, thus far — and that’s despite some challenges along the way.
Green Bay has faced plenty of criticisms about its offense and play-calling, but still, the team is 10th in the league with 24.8 points per game and first overall with a 50.62 percent third-down success rate.
Green Bay’s offense has also silenced its critics of late, having won four consecutive games in a row, including a 28-21 takedown of the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field in Week 14.
In the same game, wide receiver Christian Watson flourished downfield anew. Showing how valuable he can be to Green Bay’s attack, Watson turned four catches on four targets into 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
His big-play ability is one of the chief reasons for Green Bay’s improvement on offense, as noted by Love during a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“The biggest part of our offense is finding those explosive plays,” Love said during a recent appearance on (h/t Christopher Kuhagen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). “We got some big-time playmakers. Since Christian’s been back and gotten healthy, he’s been stepping up and making some huge plays.”
Watson’s return has been a huge plus for the Packers’ offense

Since returning from a torn ACL injury, Watson has become a walking touchdown factory for Green Bay, especially of late, as he’s racked up five TDs in his last four games. He’s also provided the Packers with someone who can make big plays downfield. Over his last two games, Watson has averaged 21.1 yards per reception.
As a team, Green Bay is sixth in the NFL with 44 20-plus yards pass completions this season and tied for third with eight 40-plus yard pass connections.
