Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley is among the most coveted coaching candidates this hiring cycle, and is in the midst of interviewing for some of the top jobs across the league, since Green Bay’s playoff loss to the Chicago Bears.
Earlier this week, Hafley interviewed with the Tennessee Titans, and is expected to be in the mix for several jobs. However, head coach Matt LaFleur and the Packers may see Hafley pop up pretty frequently on the schedule if one top analyst’s prediction holds true.
Packers’ Jeff Hafley linked to the New York Giants’ head coaching vacancy

Hafley, the former head coach of Boston College, could draw significant interest from the New York Giants, according to ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano.
“Hafley has been high on the Giants‘ list for a while, according to what I’ve been told. I think New York will try very hard to get [John] Harbaugh or [Kevin] Stefanski, and the Giants might land one of them,” Graziano wrote. “But I placed those guys elsewhere, and I had to make a pick for the Giants based on the rest of the pool.”

New York is spending Wednesday interviewing John Harbaugh, who could be Giants owner John Mara’s top candidate.
However, Hafley makes a lot of sense for the Giants.
Hafley would be returning to his Northeast roots, there is a young and ascending potential franchise quarterback, in Jaxson Dart, in place, as well as stellar defensive talent in the former of All-Pros Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns, and ascending edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter as the centerpieces of the defense.
Where Hafley lands is anyone’s guess at this point, but the Giants check a lot of boxes for the Packers’ defensive coordinator.
