A huge matchup at Lambeau Field between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears is coming up this Sunday.
The winner of this NFC North rivalry clash will get to enjoy having the top spot in the division’s standings for at least one week. Chicago is No. 1 there at the moment with an 8-4 record, while the Packers are at No. 2 with an 8-3-1 slate.
Regardless of what’s on the line, any meeting involving Green Bay and Chicago will always draw attention just for the rivalry alone. But it’s a little different that usual this time around, as it’s not always that the two teams meet with such a high stake.
“It’s business as usual, but we know what’s at stake,” Green Bay linebacker Isaiah McDuffie said ahead of the Bears game, per Mike Spofford of Green Bay’s official website. “We know they’re the top of the division right now and that’s where we wanna be, so we know the task at hand.”
Packers-Bears game is not lacking in enticing narratives

Adding flavor to this matchup is Chicago head coach Ben Johnson’s quip about relishing beating Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur during his introductory news conference back in January.
The Packers are on a three-game winning streak following a 31-24 beatdown of the Detroit Lions on the road in Week 13, while the Bears are on a longer undefeated run, having gone 5-0 in their last five outings.
Chicago’s latest win was a huge statement to the rest of the league, as they took down the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles in enemy territory.
