As the 2023 NFL offseason gets underway, the Green Bay Packers are going to be one of the most intriguing teams to keep an eye on. First and foremost, the team will need to figure out what the future holds at the quarterback position. Will Aaron Rodgers return for another season or will the keys be handed over to Jordan Love?
Thankfully, the offseason does not revolve around that question alone. No matter who the quarterback ends up being, there are things that the front office needs to address in a big way.
One of those things is adding more talent at the wide receiver position. Allen Lazard is expected to leave town in free agency and Randall Cobb is likely gone as well. That leaves Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs as the top two options in Green Bay and the Packers would like to add more talent behind them.
With that being said, it appears that there is one particular NFL Draft prospect that may have caught the Packers’ eye.
Packers Showing Interest In Wide Receiver Zay Flowers In The 2023 NFL Draft
At the 2023 NFL Draft Combine, the Packers were one of the teams to meet with Flowers.
🚨Boston College Superstar WR Zay Flowers has met with the New England #Patriots, Baltimore #Ravens, Atlanta #Falcons, Seattle #Seahawks, and Green Bay #Packers among multiple other teams, per league source.

Granted, there are quite a few teams on the list that have been revealed so far. If Flowers does end up being the first wide receiver taken, it seems likely that he would be gone by the time the Packers are on the clock with the No. 15 overall pick. Green Bay would likely need to trade up in order to get him.
During the 2022 college football season for Boston College, Flowers ended up catching 78 passes for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Standing in at 5-foot-9 and a shade over 180 pounds, Flowers received a very interesting NFL comparison. According to NFL.com, he is compared to former NFL wideout Travis Benjamin.
The Packers would be wise to get him if they can. Adding a third wideout like Flowers to go along with Watson and Doubs would give them one of the most talented young wide receiver rooms in the NFL. Arguably, they would have the best young trio of wide receivers in the league.
Expect to see quite a few teams look to select Flowers in the upcoming NFL Draft. Don’t be surprised to see the Packers take a very long look at him in the first round.
