The Packers are gearing up to take on the Chicago Bears in week 2. While it is not a true must win situation, it is pretty close. The Packers want to avoid going 0-2 especially against two division opponents. One of the concerns for the Packers is the injuries that have been piling up. The final Packers injury report has good news and bad news.
The Good News

Let’s start with the good news. Quay Walker has no injury designation and will play on Sunday. Walker was a force on the field against the Vikings. He didn’t play the whole game and still racked up 7 tackles. His speed is unmatched and he can cover the running backs and tight ends very well. You could argue he was the best defensive player on the field. The concern was that if he was going to miss time, there would be a huge hole at inside linebacker. Krys Barnes went on IR though it looks like he avoided season ending injury. If Walker was out, that would’ve left the Packers very vulnerable in the middle. This is some great news from the Packers injury report.
The Bad News
The offensive line has a lot of questions. While it has been billed as a fun surprise to see who will play, many Packers fans are concerned about the offensive line. David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins and Jon Runyan Jr. are all listed as questionable. It is a positive that they all practiced this week. However, the hope was that at least one of them would not carry an injury designation going into Sunday. If none of them can go, the Packers line could struggle again. Everything starts with winning in the trenches. If the Packers cannot do that, it could be a long night for the offense. It is worth noting that Allen Lazard is also listed as questionable. The Packers need their top receiver back and the hope is that he can go Sunday. The hope is that the bad news from the Packers injury report is not bad news on Sunday.
On Sunday, there should be more clarity on who will play and who will not. If I’m a betting man, I’m saying that Bakhtiari does not play. The video that recently surface of a limping Bakhtiari does not give me confidence. Jenkins and Runyan Jr. are a toss up. The hope is that at least one can go. If both can go, Packers fans can feel much more confident heading into Sunday night’s game. If not, it could be a long night for Aaron Rodgers and the offense.
