The Green Bay Packers are inviting students to participate in an art contest. Their fourth annual Packers Student Art Contest will award three winners with a trip to a Packers game, $5,000 towards their school’s art program, and, best of all, the opportunity to have their artwork displayed at Lambeau Field. Students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 are welcome to submit their artwork by July 12.
The theme for this year’s contest is Packers’ Game Day Traditions. Students may use paint or drawing materials. Their work can even be done using digital art tools and mixed media. Game Day Traditions can include tailgating, gathering around a television as a family, or any other family game day traditions students may have. According to the Packers’ website, it could also “show the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat.”
Final art submissions must be either 8.5 x 11 inches or 16 x 20 inches on canvas, paper, or other mixed media. The art pieces must also weigh less than 30 pounds and fit in a standard frame.
