Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander sustained a groin injury
The Green Bay Packers were without a critical part of the secondary for most of their week 3 contest. Cornerback Jaire Alexander suffered a groin injury on his first snap of the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After the game, Alexander thought the injury was minor enough that he wouldn’t miss much of the schedule.
Per multiple reports, Alexander was seen practicing for the Packers Wednesday.
#Packers CB Jaire Alexander took part in practice warmups and appears like he’ll take part in the jog-through. Bakhtiari doing warmups and Elgton Jenkins riding the bike ( part of his routine). Caleb Jones not practicing.

That’s good news for the Packers, who could use his skills as an advantage over an opposing offense that will likely be without their starting quarterback, Mac Jones. The Patriots’ backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, would be tasked with facing one of the league’s best cornerbacks in only his third start since the 2017 season.
LaFleur addressed the media on Wednesday about their star cornerbacks availability in Week 4. LaFleur gave a cryptic update about whether Jaire Alexander would play against the Patriots. According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, LaFleur said Alexander’s status was day-to-day.
Jaire Alexander is day-to-day, LaFleur says. He suffered a groin injury on the first drive of Sunday’s game.

Day-to-day isn’t a confirmed start against the Patriots. But that statement and Alexander’s participation at practice and earlier comments indicate he has an excellent chance to play in Week 4. The injury report later in the week will be something to keep an eye out for.
