The Packers have no shortage of legends. The Packers Hall of Fame is a great way for the organization to show appreciation to the players that have done so much for the franchise over the years. Earlier today, the Packers Hall of Fame made the announcement of their 2023 class.

The Packers are inducting two players into the Hall of Fame for 2023. Wide receiver Jordy Nelson and guard Josh Sitton will be inducted at the 52nd Hall of Fame Induction Banquet held on August 31st, 2023. Both of these players were key parts of the offense that dominated the league in the 2010s. Jordy Nelson was Aaron Rodger’s favorite target for years. Josh Sitton, along with TJ Lang, made up one of the most formidable pairs of interior linemen in the league. Both of these players are well deserving of this honor.

Picked in the second round of the 2008 draft, Nelson has cemented himself as a Packers legend. He is top ten in team history for receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and 100-yard receiving games. His best season from a stats perspective was the 2014 season where he hauled in 98 passes for over 1500 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is the first Packer to win the NFL Comeback Player of the Year after tearing his ACL the year prior. He led the league with 14 receiving touchdowns that year.

Sitton is a part of the same draft class as Nelson. He was chosen in the 4th round and played eight seasons in Green Bay. He was a model of consistency starting the most games by any Packers offensive lineman from 2009-2015. In 2010, he went on to win Offensive Lineman of the Year by the NFL Alumni Association. A big part of his job was protecting Aaron Rodgers and he did that well. Rodgers won two MVPs while Sitton was blocking for him and Sitton himself has two All-Pro awards to his name.
It is great to see the team honoring these players. The Packers Hall Of Fame is getting a great pair of players in 2023.
