The Packers’ season ended in heartbreaking fashion with a loss to the Lions. We are now officially in offseason mode and the Packers have many decisions to make. First and foremost is the long list of Packers free agents. Who will the Packers prioritize to bring back and who will they let walk?

Packers Free Agents 2023
The list is a long one and includes many key players from this season. Here is the complete list of Packers free agents.
WR Allen Lazard, WR Randall Cobb, TE Robert Tonyan, TE Marcedes Lewis, DE Dean Lowry, DE Jarran Reed, LB Eric Wilson, EDGE Justin Hollins, S Adrian Amos, S Rudy Ford, S Dallin Leavitt, CB Keisean Nixon, CB Corey Ballentine, K Mason Crosby
There is a good chunk of these players that might simply retire. Cobb, Lewis, and Crosby are all in the twilight of their careers. Other players just seem unlikely to come back for significant money. Ford, for example, is a player who is nice but not worth spending a large amount of cap space on.

Who Should The Packers Look To Resign
Keisean Nixon should be priority number one in my opinion. He has transformed the Packers’ special teams and is a home run threat in the return game. Allen Lazard also is highly important to the run game with his blocking ability. He strikes me as a player that is more valuable to the Packers than to any other team so the Packers might be able to sign him at a good price. Outside of those two, I think it is unlikely that the Packers aggressively try to bring anyone else back. The team went 8-9 this year. This is not the time to try and get everyone back and do it all again.
The decision on the Packers free agents is just one of many offseason decisions for the front office to manage. This team needs some major reworking if they are going to compete in the NFC next season.
