After a disappointing 3-3 start to the season, there are some Green Bay Packers “fans” that are saying bench Aaron Rodgers, start Jordan Love. Packers fans are growing impatient after two straight losses to the Giants and Jets. In those games the Packers were favored to win by 8 points (Giants) and 7.5 points (Jets). No fan likes to see their team lose. Green Bay fans have been blessed with three straight 13 win seasons. So seeing the Packers already lose three games has caused fans to have a bleak outlook on the rest of the season.
Some fans are so upset that they are demanding Aaron Rodgers to be benched. Yes you heard me right. Fans are talking about benching the reigning back-to-back NFL MVP. Their solution? Start Jordan Love.

It’s time to bench Aaron Rodgers. Time for the franchise to move on

Seems like Green Bay Packers fans are indeed hitting the panic button. Currently through six games this season Rodgers has 1,403 yards passing, 9 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 67% completion rate, and a QBR of 94.2. Sure his start is not quite on par with Rodgers’ last two impressive seasons, however, he is still putting up solid numbers. When it comes to evaluating what the Packers’ problem areas are, the QB position is probably the last place you’d look. So why are fans ready to bench Aaron Rodgers for Jordan Love?
Is Jordan Love really the answer?
Simply put no, starting Jordan Love will not solve any of the Packers’ issues. In fact, it would make things worse. Throughout eight career games Love has a completion percentage of 59.2 with two touchdowns and three interceptions. During the opportunities Love has been given to start he has looked lost. Not to say he can’t develop into solid quarterback in the future, but now is not the time for him to shine. At 3-3, it’s not time for Packers fans to panic quite yet. With 11 games still left to go in the regular season there is plenty of time for the Packers to turn their season around. However, if the Packers struggles continue will the Jordan Love chants grow louder?
