Packers Fans React To Amari Rodgers’ Latest Special Teams Fumble

    Packers Fans Amari Rodgers

Many of us are believers in second chances. No one should be immediately kicked off a team because of one mistake. Mistakes happen and we are all human. However, if those mistakes keep happening and the team does nothing, fans begin to question why that player is still around. This is what is happening with Packers fans and Amari Rodgers. Packers fans took to social media to react to Amari Rodgers’ latest special teams fumble.

Amari Rodgers’ Latest Special Teams Fumble

It did not take long after Amari Rodgers fumbled another return for social media to completely blow up. This stat sums up Amari Rodgers’ career so far. He has 8 total catches and 7 fumbles. We are beyond the need for a second chance. The fact is that Amari Rodgers simply cannot hang onto the ball. Many fans took to social media to give their thoughts on Amari Rodgers’ latest fumble.

It’s professional sports. You can’t let someone’s feelings get in the way of making decisions that affect wins/losses. You don’t perform, you don’t play. This is coming from my own experiences as well.

Amari Rodgers is hurting the Packers’ chances of winning. Fumbles, especially on punt returns, are back-breaking for a team. The team is about to get the ball back and then a fumble gives the opposing team 50 free yards and the ball back. If it happens every so often, you chalk that up to bad luck. For Amari Rodgers to fumble seven times in the first year and a half of his career is unacceptable. At this point, he should be benched and some are calling for more.

Amari Rodgers is a case of a team sticking with their guy/pick for way too long. Trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

It isn’t working with Amari Rodgers and that’s okay. No general manager, no matter how good, will be perfect on every pick. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on. This is what the Packers need to do with Amari Rodgers. There are other receivers and returners out there. Pick another one and let Amari Rodgers walk. Other fans are calling Amari Rodgers being in the game at returner coaching malpractice.

Some Are Putting The Blame On The Coaching

This is on Rich Bisaccia. No one else.

    — Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) November 13, 2022

Bisaccia sees something in Amari Rodgers that no one else does. Game after game he trots him out at returner and every Packers fan holds their breath until the play is over. I have a hard time believing that there is no one else on the roster that could return punts. It is coaching malpractice to have Amari Rodgers still returning punts.

We’ve seen enough. There is a large enough sample size. Amari Rodgers should not be returning punts. Honestly, I don’t hate what I have seen from him at receiver. Just get him off of special teams. It will be interesting to see what the Packers do in the back half of the season after Amari Rodgers’ latest fumble.

Send Amari to wherever they sent Jimmie Graham, who’s yards after catch was a negative number in Green Bay.
