The Green Bay Packers’ season came to an end in an unsurprising 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. As a promising season came to a close, Green Bay was sitting at 11-4 with two games left in the regular season.
They would lose the next three games. Now, Green Bay learned of another big loss on Tuesday.
“Are You Kidding Me” Packers Fans Erupt As Team Loses Massive Piece 2 Days After Eagles Loss
Tom Clements, who coached three generations of Packers quarterbacks, has announced his retirement as a coach:
Clements coached Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love during his time in Green Bay. He was pivotal for getting the most out of Favre’s final years and developing both Rodgers and Love early in their professional careers.
Clements, now 71, was the Packers quarterbacks coach from 2006 to 2011, the offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2014 and the assistant head coach from 2015 to 2016 under Mike McCarthy.
He left Green Bay following the 2016 season, returned to coaching with the Arizona Cardinals under Kliff Kingsbury between 2019 and 2020 and then returned to the Packers in 2022 — after being recruited by Aaron Rodgers — as quarterbacks coach. He spent the last three seasons in the position.
Of course, Green Bay fans weren’t happy to see this:
Even Jordan Love’s QB coach has had enough. 😭
