Patrick Peterson Free Agency Option
Patrick Peterson has played many seasons in the NFL all for the Arizona Cardinals but now he’s a free agent. Peterson is one of the best Cornerbacks in the game today. He would be a good compliment along side Jaire Alexander. Let me tell you why Peterson would be a great fit in Green Bay.
Fills a Need
The Packers in the NFC Championship struggled defending against the past. Kevin King didn’t have a great season and will likely not be back with the Packers. Peterson is clearly a better player than King and would certainly add another great player. If they add Peterson their four starting secondary players are Alexander, Peterson, Amos, and Savage that is quite the secondary group.
Peterson’s Durability
Patrick Peterson has only missed six games in his career and every game he has played in he has started. Kevin King the Packers Number two corner hasn’t played a full season once and missed more half of the season back in 2018. Peterson would clearly be a more reliable option over Kevin King.
How The Packers Get Peterson
While first we will need to clear some cap space. We are right on the edge of being under next years 182.5 Million Dollar Cap. Peterson will not be the cheapest Cornerback free agent on the market, but might be the best one for the Packers to put them over the top and reach the Super Bowl next season. I hope The Packers are able to make this happen feel the defense would get even better than last season.
