Shaun Wade is projected to be a second or third round pick in this years draft. Wade is a cornerback from The Ohio State University. He would fit into the slot perfectly for the Packers.
Wade’s College Career
Shaun Wade played three seasons at The Ohio State University. He had 76 total tackles in his time in a Buckeyes uniform. He ended his career with six interceptions and one pick six in his career. Wade has his best seasons in 2018 and 2019 when he played slot corner for the Buckeyes.
Good Fit
If the Packers could draft Wade in the second or third round, I think it would be a great move. Wade is physical slot corner as well not afraid to play coverage or come on the blitz. I think he would be a great fit along with Jaire Alexander, and Kevin King in the cornerback room. Even though he didn’t have the best season last year, I still think he could make an impact day one for the Packers.
Why Do I Like Him?
Even though Wade went to The Ohio State, which is my favorite NCAA Team, I like the versatility he can provide for this Packers defense. I would love to see Him play Slot Corner as well which is when he played his best football in college. Shaun Wade is also a very physical corner and can tackle well which is something that new Packers Defensive Coordinator has been preaching. That his new defense will be a very good tackling defense and will fly around and make plays. Which Sean Wade would fit that perfectly.
