Joe Barry Loves How Consistent Rashan Gary Is
When asked about what the biggest difference was in Rashan Gary this offseason, Joe Barry said “consistency.” He explained:
“I’m a firm believer that consistency is the truest measure of performance. That’s probably the thing I love most about Kenny Clark, but it’s definitely the thing I love most about Rashan Gary, is that he shows up every single day and it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, it doesn’t matter what time of year it is, you know exactly what you’re going to get out of Rashan Gary every single day. And then it becomes a habit and his demeanor and his style and the way he plays every single day. When you practice like that, it translates to games, and that’s why I think he’s the player that he is and the player that he’s still going to become.”

That is the kind of energy and attitude that the Packers need on defense. For a team whose biggest star is a 38-year old quarterback, one may be surprised to know that the entire defense does not have one single player over the age of 30.
The Packers are the only team in the NFL without a 30+ year old player on their defense.

With such a young unit, it is important for the team’s morale and success that leaders emerge. Rashan Gary is doing that, both vocally and with the way he carries himself on the field.
