The Packers found a gem in De’Vondre Campbell last season. Before last season, he was just another athletic linebacker that for one reason or another lacked the ‘“wow” plays. Now, he’s a First-Team All-Pro Linebacker.
The Packers should be actively looking to upgrade their middle linebacker room after the lackluster play from Campbell’s teammate Krys Barnes last season. They could do that by signing Dylon Moses who was just released by the Jaguars
Who is Dylon Moses
Moses was an All-American at Alabama who was working his way to a consensus 1st round grade before tearing his ACL. He came back to Alabama and had a good season but there was a noticeable “change” in his explosiveness and the “wow” plays disappeared from his game. In his college career, Moses racked up 192 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and two interceptions. Moses is still only 23 years old.
Alabama LB Dylan Moses (#32) is excellent at keeping his shoulders square and remaining patient when attacking downhill vs. the run.

Pre Draft thoughts
[pickup_prop id=”23059″]
Moses is an experienced linebacker who has experience at all three linebacker positions. He’s known to have great speed and be a “sideline to sideline” type of linebacker. thedraftnetwork had this to say about Moses before the draft
“Moses is best in an attacking 4-3 where he can be used as a second-level defender on either the strong or weak side, but used routinely as a blitzing threat as well.” That sounds like what the Packers had hoped Barnes would develop into.”
Why could he succeed with the Packers?
The Packers have a defensive coordinator in Joe Barry who is known for developing middle linebackers. Joe Barry turned De’vondre Campbell and Cory Littleton into All-Pro linebackers. Both linebackers were known for being athletic and having speed but not being able to put it all together. Could Joe Barry and the Packers work their magic with a 3rd linebacker in Dylan Moses?
