The Green Bay Packers may be in the market for a wide receiver this off-season. With the likely departure of Allen Lazard (and possibly Randall Cobb), the Packers will be left with Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson as their top two wide receivers going into 2023. While the future is extremely bright for those two young wide receivers, bringing in a veteran or two could be a big boost for the Packers. As it turns out, there may be one available who is right across the Minnesota border. Vikings’ long-time wide receiver Adam Thielen may be on his way out of Minnesota.
Packers Could Target Adam Thielen If He Is Done In Minnesota
Adam Thielen is more than likely going to be done with the Minnesota Vikings according to reports. Adam Thielen’s wife took to Instagram to say goodbye to Minnesota and share her gratitude. Following the Minnesota Vikings’ Wild Card loss to the New York Giants at home on Sunday, Caitlin Thielen, wife of Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, posted an emotional message to her Instagram Story that read the following:
“And just like that the season and our time here in MN might be at an end. Super proud of your attitude this season and always fighting.”
Thielen will be 33 years old by the start of next season. Whether this means he’s retiring, getting traded, or being released remains to be seen. However, it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing him in the Vikings’ purple next season. If Thielen is done in Minnesota, he finishes with 534 catches for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns. Incredible number for a guy who wasn’t even drafted. 2022 was still a productive year for Thielen as he finished with 70 receptions, 716 yards, and six touchdowns. Even given his age, Thielen has proven that he can be effective in this league.
Thielen is currently under contract with Minnesota through the 2024 season. However, in 2023 he has a cap hit of more than $19 million. A number the Vikings likely won’t pay given their dire salary cap situation. It is also very unlikely the Vikings would trade their long tenured wide receiver to their biggest divisional rival. If Adam Thielen is released, however, Green Bay could swoop him up for a much lesser cap hit.

The connotations that he is somehow fed up with Minnesota is so rich. More like he’s an aging reciever who’s lost a step and will cost $19 million to keep. Thielen is intelligent. He knows the business side of things. He knows his time is up. If anything the Vikings are “done” with him in the most respectful way possible.
Yes and why play for a team that’s going to be 3-14 next year? The Vikings will never again win a playoff game. I’m saying it I live another 60 years, it won’t happen, the Vikings are cursed.
Enjoy the 13-4 and a really entertaining season! HUGE improvement from last few years. We don’t need any whiny complaining fans. Why not switch allegiance and root for the Bears?
Grown ass men cry like women. They definitely will win another playoff game in future, get out your feelings, sound like this man wife lol
Idk who more in their feelings, her or you. You wouldn’t even put your life savings up that they wouldn’t, all talk. Grown man acting all emotional like a woman smh

The Packers areb’t picking anyone of significance up in free agency.
The Vikes will trade Thielen for a draft pick, for sure, and never to the Packers. I’d be hard pressed to think Adam would ever WANT to go to the Packers. Why go to your arch enemy since you started in the NFL and to a team definitely going downhill.
