Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson missed a bunch of games to start the 2025 NFL season as he recovered from a serious injury he suffered late in the 2024 NFL season. But he is certainly making up nicely for lost time, as he’s been consistently providing notable performances downfield for Green Bay since his return from the injury.
On Sunday, the former North Dakota State football star wideout turned heads anew, as he helped Green Bay thwart the Chicago Bears in a 28-21 victory at Lambeau Field in Week 14 of the season. Against the Bears, the 26-year-old Watson caught all four targets for 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Packers’ Watson had a night against the Bears in Week 14

Watson broke the ice in the second period with a 23-yard touchdown catch to put Green Bay on the board first. In the third quarter, his 41-yard touchdown catch helped extend the Packers’ lead to 10 points, as kicker Brandon McManus nailed the extra-point kick.
Both of Watson’s touchdowns came on third-down situations, and after the game, he voiced his surprise about Chicago’s decision to cover him with one man.
Christian Watson couldn’t believe Bears covered him single man with one-high safety on the third down either. No complaints though. Happy to keep single coverages coming.
“As soon as I saw Jordan make the check, honestly I’d like to say I knew it was going to be a touchdown.”
Watson already has five touchdowns in the 2025 NFL campaign despite only making his season debut in Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. All his touchdowns also came in the last four Green Bay games, and his performance against Chicago was his second multi-TD game this year. He had two touchdowns as well in the Packers’ 27-20 win on the road over the New York Giants in Week 11.
