Packers: Charles Woodson Has Hilarious Comment on Hanging Out with Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers missing the playoffs has had plenty of negative effects. There is the now annual question of whether or not Aaron Rodgers will retire; there is also the possibility that the Packers’ two most respected coaches, Jerry Gray and Rich Bisaccia, get hired elsewhere; and because there are no games being played by Green Bay, there are headlines that would be non-stories in any other season.

Romeo Doubs Says He Never Hung Out with Aaron Rodgers

One of these stories is that Romeo Doubs went on the “Maggie and Perloff Show” on CBS Sports. When asked about hanging out with Aaron Rodgers, Doubs said that he and Rodgers never hung out. The only time Doubs saw Rodgers outside of practice or games was at the team’s Halloween party.

Of course, the hosts of the show turned Doubs’ comments into a discussion about how Rodgers and the Packers would have been more successful if he had hung out with his young wide receivers during the season.

After the segment ended, several of Rodgers’ former teammates took to Twitter to defend him. As they, and many others pointed out, it is not unusual for a 21-22 year old to not hang out with a coworker that is close to 40 years old.

Packers Legend Charles Woodson Chimed In

Charles Woodson signed with the Green Bay Packers when he was 30 years old in 2006. At that point in time, Rodgers was a 23 year old backup quarterback to Brett Favre. While Woodson stayed in Green Bay for six seasons and won a Super Bowl with the team, he revealed that he never hung out with Rodgers either.

Yeah this ain’t bout nothing. I never hung out with Arod either.. oh wait I was the old guy 🤣🤣 https://t.co/sxmRlVBNoZ

    — Charles Woodson (@CharlesWoodson) January 28, 2023

As stated earlier, and as Woodson points out, this whole “Rodgers didn’t hang out with his young teammates” story is “bout nothing.” There is a significant age gap between the wide receivers and Rodgers. It makes sense that they would have different interests outside of 1265 Lombardi Avenue.
