Yesterday, Randall Cobb and Jaire Alexander returned to practice. While neither is expected to be active for the Sunday Night matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, the Packers moved one step closer to having them back for the playoffs. Today, one other big contributor returned to practice: Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has been present at practices, but has not practiced often due to a broken toe.
Aaron Rodgers vs the Vikings
Aaron Rodgers is 15-10-1 against the Minnesota Vikings in his career. He has thrown for 54 touchdowns and just seven interceptions in those 26 games. In his first game against Minnesota this season, he threw for a season-high 385 yards. He also threw four touchdown passes and no interceptions. Unfortunately, the Packers dropped the game 34-31 on the road.
Minnesota to Be Without Kirk Cousins
Earlier today, it was reported that Kirk Cousins had tested positive for COVID-19. The Vikings will start Sean Mannion against the Packers. Mannion is 0-2 as a starter and has not thrown a touchdown in his six years in the NFL.
This is a developing story in terms of injury updates. The full injury report will be released later today.
