The Green Bay Packers are hoping to start another winning streak when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. Green Bay is coming off a solid win over the Seattle Seahawks, but they know there’s a long ways to go before they get to the playoffs.
New Orleans (5-9) will travel to Lambeau Field for this contest, however, they could be doing so without a key player.
“More Testing” Packers Learn Of Saints Cornerstone Player Dealing With Gruesome Injury (Report)
In Week 15, Alvin Kamara went to the locker room during the third quarter against the Washington Commanders.
The star running back entered the medical tent after leaving the game. He walked into the locker room after exiting the tent:
Kamara is in the midst of an outstanding 2024 season. Earlier in the game, he reeled in a 21-yard touchdown catch and became the fourth player in NFL history with 50 rushing touchdowns and 25 receiving scores, joining Lenny Moore, Marshall Faulk and Christian McCaffrey.
Here’s the latest on the Saints running back’s status:
Saints coach Darren Rizzi told reporters Monday that Kamara was dealing with a “groin adductor” type of injury, per ESPN’s Katherine Terrell. Rizzi declined to elaborate on whether the injury was minor and told reporters more testing would be done on the running back.
Kamara’s injury apparently occurred after he scored on a 21-yard touchdown reception. He was looked at by trainers in the blue tent on the Saints sideline. He was then seen walking into the locker room with a member of the training staff without his helmet.
Shortly after his exit, the Saints announced that he was dealing with a groin injury and his return was questionable.
