Matt LaFleur was hired as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2019 season. Since that time, the Packers have won 13 games in three consecutive seasons. Aaron Rodgers has won two MVP Awards, made three Pro Bowls, and was named First Team All Pro twice. He also has thrown 111 touchdowns against just 13 interceptions. There have been weeks when Rodgers has thrown just one or two touchdown passes. However, there have been others where he explodes for four or more. In fact, since 2019, he leads the NFL in games in which a quarterback throws four or more touchdown passes.

Most games with 4+ passing TDs since 2019…

    Aaron Rodgers – 12
    Tom Brady – 10
    Russell Wilson – 9
    Josh Allen – 8
    Patrick Mahomes – 8
    Dak Prescott – 6

Aaron Rodgers Also Takes Care of the Ball Better than Anyone

While Aaron Rodgers is known for racking up the touchdown passes, he is also known for taking excellent care of the football. In fact, since 2019, he has the best interception/attempt rate in the NFL (by a large margin).

Best Int/Attempt Rate since 2019, among qualified QB

    Aaron Rodgers 0.8%
    Drew Brees 1.3%
    Patrick Mahomes 1.4%

Can Aaron Rodgers Continue to Put Up Big Touchdown Numbers?

Obviously, Aaron Rodgers had the benefit for throwing to Davante Adams for the past several seasons. Now Adams will be playing with his college quarterback, David Carr, in Las Vegas. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, too, has left the Packers for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers drafted three young wide receivers in this year’s draft, meaning that Rodgers will have a plethora of new targets.

Without a doubt, it will take time for Rodgers to build rapport with his new receiving core. That being said, there is no more accurate passer in the NFL than Aaron Rodgers. He will definitely put his new wideouts in excellent positions to make plays and score.
