The Green Bay Packers 2022 opponents are known, but the week to week schedule has yet to be released. Still, we can rank the Packers’ 2022 opponents based on location. There will be three different categories; lock to win, should win, and questionable to win.
Locks to win (Seven):
- Vikings (Once)
- Lions (Once)
- Bears (Once)
Green Bay has had great success against the NFC North over the last three years. Since Matt Lafleur took over as the head coach the Packers are 15-3 against the North. A 4-2 to 5-1 record is almost guaranteed, but we’re being conservative.
- Giants (Home)
- Jets (Home)
- Commanders (Away)
- Eagles (Away)
Every single one of these teams are significantly worse that Green Bay. “Any given Sunday” in the NFL is a real thing and nothing is guaranteed. However these are as close to guaranteed as you can get.
Should wins (Seven Games, five to six wins):
- Bears
- Lions
The Packers have the best chance at sweeping the Bears and Lions. The Lions always play the Packers tough, but the Bears well… Aaron Rodgers owns those guys.
- Dolphins (Away)
- Titans (Home)
- Rams (Home)
- Patriots (Home)
- Cowboys (Home)
The Dolphins should be a win. They’ve made some splash moves in free agency, but Green Bay is the better team. The ONLY reason this isn’t in the “lock wins” is because it’s away and flukey things can happen. Having the Titans, Rams, Patriots, and Cowboys all at home is extremely beneficial. The Packers may go 2-2 in those games. but realistically it should be 3-1 or 4-0.
Games up in the air (three games, one to two wins):
- Buccaneers (away)
- Bills (away)
- Vikings (away)
The ONLY reason the Vikings are on this list is because they have managed to split the season series with Green Bay the last few seasons. They play the Packers tough at home every single time.
The Bills and the Buccaneers will be marquee matchups where the team who has the ball last may be the team who wins.
In Total:
Green Bay could easily win 12-14 games next year. Yes even with the current wide receiver situation. Aaron Rodger makes THAT much of a difference. They have a favorable schedule throughout most of the year.
The one side note is that one of their home games will be in London. Based on opponents, it is like that the Jets or Giants are the opponent, however that remains to be seen. Either way that one game should not impact their total win/loss record too drastically.
