MILWAUKEE, WI - MAY 24: Head Coach Mike Budenholzer of the Milwaukee Bucks looks on during the game against the Miami Heat during Round 1, Game 2 of the 2021 NBA Playoffs on May 24, 2021 at the Fiserv Forum Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During Mike Budenholzer’s five-year tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks (2018-19 to 2022-23), the team has compiled a 242-112 record (.684 winning percentage). That is the best winning percentage of all NBA teams since the start of the 2018-19 campaign.

    Tuesdays with Coach Bud!

But did you also know that since 2018-19, the Bucks also have the best record in the NBA on Tuesdays and Wednesdays?

With Budenholzer as coach, the Bucks have a 77-22 record (.778 winning percentage) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays combined. They are 31-5 on Tuesdays and 46-17 on Wednesdays.

Win-loss records for each day of the week (2018-19 to 2022-23)

Here is a breakdown of the Bucks’ record since Budenholzer took over as coach on each of the seven days of the week.

    Sunday: 20-19, .513
    Monday: 38-18, .679
    Tuesday: 31-5, .861
    Wednesday: 46-17, .730
    Thursday: 28-12, .700
    Friday: 41-20, .672
    Saturday: 38-21, 644

The Bucks are 184-72 (.719) on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and 58-40 (.592) on the weekend (Saturday, Sunday), a difference of more than 127 percentage points.

As noted above, Milwaukee has the NBA’s best Tuesday and Wednesday winning percentage. They are tied for second best record on Fridays, third best on Thursdays and Saturdays, and fourth on Mondays. Their worst day of the week is Monday where the team ranks 16th in the league.

This season: Milwaukee Bucks great on Tuesdays, struggling on Sundays

The Bucks have not fared very well on Sundays this season either. The team is 1-3 on Sundays, their worst day of the week. They are undefeated on Tuesdays with a 3-0 record, the only day of the week where they are unbeaten. Their weekday record this season is 23-12 (.657) and they are 6-4 (.600) on the weekend.
